Data backup and recovery for your home
Most people don't think about backups until a computer dies with years of family photos on it.
Keep your photos and files safe
We set up a simple backup that runs without you thinking about it. If you've already lost something, we'll try to get it back.
Anyone with photos, documents or memories stored on one computer or phone, and anyone who has just lost files and needs help now.
What's included
- Finding where your photos and files are stored
- Setting up automatic backups to the cloud or an external drive
- Backing up phones and tablets
- Copying files from old computers and drives
- Trying to recover files from failed or deleted drives
- Checking your backup can be restored
- Showing you how to find a file when you need it
We come on-site across our service areas in Melbourne's south east and West Gippsland, from our Narre Warren base.
Why a backup matters
It runs by itself
Once it's set up, you don't have to remember it.
More than one copy
A failed drive or lost laptop doesn't take everything with it.
Checked to work
We make sure your files can actually be restored.
How we approach it
We listen first
We find out what you can't bear to lose and where it's stored, because it's often in more than one place.
We explain what we find
We explain your options, and if data has been lost we'll tell you honestly what the chances of recovery look like.
We keep it to what you need
A home backup doesn't have to be expensive. We'll suggest something that suits how much you have to protect.

Common questions about backups and data recovery
Something else on your mind? Call 03 9970 9107.
Can you recover files from a dead computer?
Often, but not always. It depends on what has failed. If a drive is making noises or won't start, turn it off and stop using it, because that gives us the best chance.
I deleted something by accident. Can I get it back?
Possibly. Stop using that computer or drive as soon as you can, and call us. New files can overwrite what you're trying to recover.
Are my photos safe in iCloud or Google Photos?
Those services are useful, but a sync isn't always a backup. If you delete a photo on one device, it can disappear everywhere. A second copy is worth having.
Is one external drive enough?
It's a good start, but drives fail and can be lost in a fire or a burglary. A second copy in the cloud is safer.
